The 6th Annual Firefighter 5K Challenge will take place on Sunday, November 1st at the Vestal Coal House. Proceeds from this race benefit the Vestal Fire Company #1. This is a certified 5K course on the Vestal Rail Trail. This race is open to everyone, not just firefighters. Firefighter Department contests include most participants and fastest average time. The 2018 fastest Fire Department was Vestal Fire Company #1, and the Fire Department with the most participants was Vestal Fire. Following the race, there will be music, door prizes, refreshments, and special awards hosted at the Vestal Fire Station next to the Coal House.
